About the Interpretation Centre

The Sierra Nevada Tramway Interpretation Centre is located in Pinos Genil, a town with a privileged location just 9 km from the city of Granada and 23 km from the Sierra Nevada ski resort.

Its urban centre is divided by the Genil River, giving the town unique beauty and pleasant climatic conditions.

The municipality is home to the Sierra Nevada Tramway Interpretation Centre, located in the former Sierra Nevada tram station. It is a cultural space where visitors can discover part of Granada’s history through its different themed rooms.

In addition, the entire Interpretation Centre is recognised as Room 71 of the “Museum of Tourism”, an international project aimed at promoting and sharing the history of tourism through its landmarks, places and key figures.

Guided tours, games and hiking trails.
