Pinos Genil Beats with You
Pinos Genil is more than just a peaceful sanctuary on the riverbanks; it is a village that truly knows how to celebrate life. Our calendar is defined by a deep respect for tradition, the authentic flavors of our land, and a passion for sharing unforgettable moments.
Our Patron Saint Festivities
In honor of the Virgen del Rosario and San Roque | First weekend of August
In the height of summer, Pinos Genil dresses in its finest. Each day begins with the joy of the Diana Floreada, where the local brass band marches through the streets, inviting everyone to join the festivities from the early hours.
One of the most anticipated highlights is the iconic Carrera de Cintas (Ribbon Race), a traditional game of skill where cyclists compete to hook small rings with a wooden peg.
Religious devotion takes to the streets during the solemn procession of our patron saints following the official Mass, winding through the village’s picturesque alleys. The grand finale is the Popular Romería (Pilgrimage), held near the “Fábrica de la Luz.” Amidst music and vibrant flamenco dresses, locals and visitors alike toast to community spirit in a unique natural setting.
